The Farmers’ Market in downtown Peterborough has been busting at its’ seems, with so much interest from vendors and market goers alike! So thanks to a wonderful partnership with Peterborough Square the Wednesday Farmers’ Market is expanding into the Peterborough Square Courtyard. There will be a wide array of NEW and interesting produce, meat and craft vendors to explore. Come check it out!
To celebrate our expanding market come explore the “Tastes Of the Kawarthas” with Chief Brian Henry, who will be joining us for the day demonstrating delicious ways to use the freshest of products available from our very own market vendors. He will be walking the market and whipping up some delicious food samples at 10:30 and 12:15 on June 10th, 2009. We will also be celebrating with live music and a cloth bag give-away! So come join in the fun and festivities! The Market is located on Charlotte Street between George and Water Street, under the clock tower in downtown Peterborough. The Wednesday Downtown Market is a local producers’ only market – so come on out and support your local growers! Kawarthas’ Own, Locally Grown.
